The Treaty Section provides a wide range of tools and resources relating to its mandate, with a view to facilitating the effective engagement of all States and international organizations in the international treaty framework. These tools and resources, which are all made available online in this website, include publications describing the various aspects of the depositary, registration and publication mandates (Treaty Handbook, Handbook on Final Clauses, Summary of Practice of the Secretary-General as Depositary of Multilateral Treaties), a collection of official documents relating to the work of the Section (Regulations adopted by the General Assembly, Secretary-General bulletin, notes verbales), and model documents to be used by States in their submission of official instruments relating to the depositary and registration functions.
