GENERAL INFORMATION

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary, communicates the following:

Depositary Notifications (CNs) will be available electronically only and the print versions will be discontinued as of 1 April 2010.

The CNs will continue to be accessible on the United Nations Treaty Collection on the Internet at http://treaties.un.org under “Depositary Notifications (CNs)”.

In addition, the Permanent Missions as well as all other interested individuals are urged to subscribe to receive depositary notifications electronically by e-mail through the Treaty Section’s “Automated CN Subscription Service”, which is also available at http://treaties.un.org.

The above initiative is part of the United Nations’ effort to reduce paper consumption and to conserve energy and resources.
