The Agreement was open for signature at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 17 March 1992 and will remain open for signature at United Nations Headquarters until its entry into force. * The Amendment to the Agreement (see Chapter XXVII-9(a) herein), which entered into force on 3 February 2008, changed the name of the Agreement. The Agreement was previously known as "Agreement on the Conservation of Small Cetaceans of the Baltic and North Seas".

The Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland considers that the extension of the Agreement to the territory of the Isle of Man will enter into force on the date that this notification is received [in] deposit…”
