The International Sugar Agreement, 1992, was open for signature at United Nations Headquarters from 1 May 1992 until 31 December 1992, in accordance with its article 36. 2 On 31 December 1992, the Government of Barbados initially signed the International Sugar Agreement, 1992. On 19 January 1993, The Government of Barbados deposited a Notification of Provisional Application of the Agreement and on 20 January 1993, the Government of Barbados ratified the Agreement. On 1 September 1994, the Government of Barbados notified the Secretary-General that it decided to denounce the International Sugar Agreement, 1992 with effect from on 1 October 1994. On 27 March 2007, the Government of Barbados re-acceded to the Agreement.
