7 .b Amendments to Articles 6 (6) and 7 (1) of the Statutes of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology

see article 16 of the Statutes which reads as follows: "1. Any Member may propose amendments to the Statutes. Texts of proposed amendments shall be promptly communicated by the Director to all Members and shall not be considered by the Board until ninety days after the dispatch of such communication. 2. Amendments shall be approved by a two-thirds majority of all Members and shall enter into force for those Members who have deposited instruments of ratification.".

Note :
At its third Session, held in Trieste (Italy) from 2 to 3 December 1996, the Board of Governors of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, having ascertained that the two-thirds of Members were present, adopted amendments to articles 6 (6) and 7 (1) of the above Statutes.
