End Note
1.In a communication received on 15 October 1971, the Government of Austria denounced, in accordance with article 3 of the Agreement, the addendum, in article 1 of that Agreement, to annex 1 of the 1949 Convention.
2.With the declaration that "the Hungarian People's Republic does not consider itself bound by the provisions of article 5 of the Agreement".
3.See note 1 under "Montenegro" in the "Historical Information" section in the front matter of this volume.
4.In a communication received on 4 December 1952, the Government of the Netherlands notified the Secretary-General that the reservation as to ratification, made on its behalf upon signature of the Agreement, is to be considered as having been withdrawn. Consequently, the date of 4 December 1952 should be considered as the date of the definitive signature.
5.The former Yugoslavia had signed definitively the Agreement on 16 September 1950.
