Introduction

To facilitate access by Member States, international organizations and other interestedentities to notes verbales issued by the Legal Counsel on matters concerningthe registration and publication of treaties and depositary requirements, the relevant notes are made available on-line:

The notes address the following issues:

• Submission of treaties for registration in electronic format;
  
• Completeness of registration submissions;
  
• Registration requirements (the check list);
  
• Publication requirements (desktop publication);
  
• Translations ( formal or courtesy) to expedite the registration and publication of treaties;
  
• Model instruments (certifying statement, full powers, accession, ratification, acceptance or approval, reservation/declaration, modification of reservation, withdrawal of reservation (s));
